Fair Trade

As part of our commitment to a more just world, we are a fair trade Church.  Where ever possible we use fair trade products including tea, coffee, sugar biscuits and wine.  We also actively encourage our congregations to buy fair trade.
Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.  Fair trade is a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and respect that seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalised producers and workers – especially in the South.
