How you can Help Portishead Parish

Portishead Church of England is a busy parish serving the whole of our growing town.  We have two wonderful church buildings and work closely in partnership with our two church schools, St Peter’s and Trinity, as well as the St Barnabas Centre. As the Church of England we seek to be available to all who need us, regardless of whether they have any regular contact with our churches.

We are only able to continue this ministry thanks to the many people who support us so generously with their time, their talents, and their money.

Annually it costs us £195,000 to operate – that is £525 per day - covering all the varied costs in running such a large parish.

You can help in any of these ways:

  • Many members of our congregations help us by joining our planned giving scheme, making regular contributions towards the work of the church.  This is particularly helpful as it enables us to budget for our expenditure. If you would like to know more please see our Christian Stewardship page.
  • You can also make a donation online, via the Charities Aid Foundation, from your CAF account, using a debit or credit card, or using PayPal. If you wish you can make your donation anonymously, see our CAF web page.
  • Every time you shop on line you can also support us by registering with Easyfundraising - this enables you to raise funds for Portishead Parish when you buy goods or services from a wide range of web sites, see this page for further information, or go straight to  http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk. There is no cost to you, and details of your purchases are not known to us, a donation is made by the retailer.
  • If you are looking for Christian resources or gifts you can also shop with Kevin Mayhew, and for each purchase you make, they will donate a small percentage Portishead Church of England. You can visit their site here.
